It’s all about learning about leadership by working variously as a leader/manager and follower within a diverse team of peers representing the best that Australian industry has to offer in the front line.

Experienced facilitators accompany each team, working to support your learning from the very wide range of opportunities you explore.

Working as a manager in a small team of managers and dealing with the immediate consequences of decisions made in the programme opens up new learning. .

The Kimberley Course provides powerful learning opportunities for anyone who must engage effectively with other people to achieve desired outcomes whilst managing complex systems and processes.

Each team is confronted by a plethora of problems; issues; and dilemmas through which they manage their way to achieve results. 

A facilitator who has considerable industry experience and the skills to ensure that learnings are maximised accompanies each team. The facilitator will also provide follow through if required, back at work.

You will build new knowledge; gain different skills; improve existing ones; shape your understanding of what a task needs and what it means to influence people. The main work for each team in this program is to achieve results, whilst shaping and influencing their physical environment. The learning comes from “how we did this”.

Over the nine days of the course, you will be immersed in Experiential Leadership Learning, real hands on application of Process and Systems Models, and you will gain knowledge and a toolkit that will enable you to invent new processes to achieve tangible results in your life and in the workplace.: The blend of theoretical and experiential learning processes in this programme encourages participants to:

EXPLORE through direct experience, their impact on group productivity and how to use different styles for different results

BUILD skills for leading group processes and building group effectiveness.

DISCOVER how to be an effective team member

RECOGNISE individual value systems and their impact

EMBRACE an ongoing learning journey to greater effectiveness

MAXIMISE skills in the “how” of leadership and “followship”.

GROW an ability to recognise temperament differences and use these to advantage

The Kimberley Course begins before you leave for Broome and ends after you return.
